    Kindle House of Illusions Kindle Ó House of Kindle - ¹ alternate universe.co ¹ house free, illusions book, House of epub, House of Illusions MOBICall me cold hearted but I actually liked the tragic ending of House of Dreams It was realistic and stayed true to the less than happy tone of the novel But I guess Pauline Gedge just couldn’t let it end there and wrote House of Illusions to give Thu her revengeThere is only one word to describe this seuel cliché The plot is like that of a Hollywood movie and Pauline Gedge had to do some serious fact changing to write this novel After all the real Thu and her grown son he was not an infant at the time of the plot were executed for their parts in the huge conspiracy to kill Ramses III Archaeologists speculate that the so called “Screaming Mummy” not for the weak of stomach was Ramses’ son Pentawere and that he was executed by drinking poison which accounts for the gruesome expression that gives this mummy his name The real Thu certainly didn’t get a happy ending and I don’t like how much the facts were changed to give her such an endingB

    Kindle House of Illusions Kindle Ó House of Kindle - ¹ alternate universe.co ¹ house free, illusions book, House of epub, House of Illusions MOBIThis a superb conclusion to the book Lady of the Reeds which I read over a decade ago I never knew there was a seuel to it until I happened to be looking up this author on my Nook and discovered the seuel I bought it and found it to be as amazing and rich in detail as the first novel Gedge brings ancient Egypt and all the people in it from noble to peasant merchant to concubine to a living breathing reality Unlike the first book which was told from the POV of Thu a woman midwife physician and later concubine and royal lady to Pharoah this book was divided between the viewpoints of Kamen a young soldier and adopted son of a rich merchant

    Kindle House of Illusions Kindle Ó House of Kindle - ¹ alternate universe.co ¹ house free, illusions book, House of epub, House of Illusions MOBII enjoyed this book as much as I did House of Dreams I saw where one reviewer said he or she sorry I cannot remember which didn't particularly like how the story switched narrators I really thought about that a lot while I was reading this novel and I came to the conclusion there really wasn't a way to tell this particular story in first person and have enough to fill a whole novel Also I think having the those other perspectives help lend some depth to the story I don't think this novel will make much sense without having read House of Dreams I could be wrong about that Hopefully someone who has read House of Illusions first will have something to say about itAgain I enjoyed these two books uite a bit but I am ready to move into another genre for a while
